The Angel, Chippenham - Briony and Will
For the second time in less than 10 days, I found myself back at the Chippenham Registry Office. This time for Briony and Will’s wedding.
The couple had chosen to keep their ceremony very intimate with just their parents in attendance whilst they said their vows so I arrived just in time to greet them as they emerged as husband and wife.
After a handful of photographs in the courtyard outside the Registry Office, I followed them around the corner to The Angel Hotel where the rest of their guests were waiting.
In contrast to the last time I was here, their wedding day was sunny and bright which meant that we could take full advantage of the courtyard outside for their formal group photos. I hadn’t really appreciated just how pretty it was and so I was in my element standing the groups in front of the picturesque stone walls and vivid green trees.
Before long, the guests were invited inside to take their seats for the speeches and then the wedding breakfast. After taking the opportunity to enjoy a scone with jam and cream in the garden whilst the guests ate, I swiftly returned for the cake cutting (the matching Colin and Connie the Caterpillar cakes were a great touch!) which was then followed by a very emotional moment when Will serenaded his new Bride.
With Will being in the band it would have been pretty difficult for there to have been a first dance, but the rest of the band members soon joined him at the front to perform a set to entertain the rest of the guests. I have to say I was a little sad to leave them to their celebrations after just a couple of songs!
Below you will find a small selection of my favourite images from the day. To view the full gallery, please contact Briony or Will.
