Elmhay Park - Becky and George

It seems as though the sun is destined to shine every time I visit Elmhay Park! Or at least that is what’s happened each time I have visited so far!

Becky and George tied the knot on the first day of August on what turned out to be a very sunny and hot day. I first arrived at the Castle to capture some photos of Becky and her Bridesmaids getting ready where I was also able to photograph one of the most emotional dress reveals to the Father of the Bride that I have witnessed! I then headed on to the Walled Garden where their ceremony was to take place.

I arrived to find George and his very well-dressed Groomsmen guiding the guests to their seats. It wasn’t too long before the Bridesmaids made their entrance across the lawn followed by Becky accompanied by her Dad. It was an emotional ceremony with amusing vows thrown in for good measure. I love it when the happy couple write their own vows - it brings a whole extra level of personality and intimacy into the ceremony.

After the signing of the schedule, confetti and some brief formal photos, many of the guests then retreated indoors to take advantage of the air conditioning as well as help themselves to the edible favours - Marshfiled Farm ice cream! Definitely a huge hit and a very welcome treat on such a swelteringly hot day!

Elmhay Park is such a beautiful venue and we were spoilt for choice for backdrops for the couples photos (even despite the bright sunlight!). From the red-brick walls to the beautiful flowers, the rustic gates and the clock tower - so many options! I was therefore very happy that Becky and George allowed me the time to take so many photos!

The cake was promptly cut before it could succumb to the heat after which the wedding breakfast was served (sausage and mash - always a winner!). We were then all treated to some amusing speeches, more ice cream and a wonderful summers evening outside as the sun started to set. All in all a beautiful and emotional day.

Below you will find a small selection of my favourite photos from the day. To view the full gallery, please contact Becky or George.
