Stanton Manor Hotel - Aly and Mike

I recently photographed an event at Stanton Manor Hotel and, whilst it wasn’t exactly a wedding, it was an amazing wedding celebration!

Aly and Mike actually managed to tie the knot a couple of years ago but, due to the Covid restrictions at the time, they were only able to have a handful of guests at their ceremony.

Fast forward to earlier this year and they got in touch to ask if I would be interested in documenting their wedding celebration. It all sounded like a lot of fun - their friends and family gathered together, a magician to keep them entertained, a wedding cake, a buffet and then a HUGE party!

They wanted lots of candid photos of their guests having fun and a handful of formal photos with their family and friends - it sounded exactly up my street so of course I said yes!

When the day arrived, it was warm and sunny which meant that Aly, Mike and their guests were able to make the most of the beautiful gardens at Stanton Manor.

I arrived just ahead of the guests so that I could take some final getting ready photos. In contrast to the day of the wedding, Aly thought it would be a nice touch to get some photos of Mike helping her into her dress - on the wedding day itself it was, of course, her bridesmaids that fulfilled this role!

After whisking them away for a few couples portraits, Aly and Mike then returned to greet their guests. The celebrations continued out into the garden with Grant the Bath Magician providing some fabulous entertainment. It was soon time to cut the cake (provided by the talented Cakes by Mrs F) and for Aly and Mike to take to the floor for their first dance.

It was such a lovely, laid-back and relaxed day - the perfect way for Aly and Mike to celebrate their wedding, albeit a couple of years delayed!
