Salisbury Registry Office - Nicola and James

Over the last few years I have gotten really fond of shooting small, intimate weddings. And so when Nicola and James got in touch to ask if I was available to shoot their wedding at Salisbury Registry Office, I was very happy to tell them that I was.

This was my first time shooting at the Registry Office in Salisbury so I ensured that I arrived extra early. As luck would have it, I arrived just as the wedding beforehand was leaving. The venue staff were more than happy to show me around and they also very kindly pointed me in the direction of where to grab a cup of coffee seeing as I still had an hour to kill before the wedding was due to start.

Having refuelled (with tasty banana cake and coffee at the Arts centre next door), I returned to photograph Nicola, James and their guests arriving.

After a very relaxed and intimate ceremony, we headed around to the side of the venue en masse to throw confetti and grab some formal group photos. I then whisked Nicola and James away to the “Secret Garden” behind the venue for some couples portraits whilst their guests chatted outside in the sunshine.

Everyone had then been invited back to the house for drinks in the garden. With the weather being so glorious, Nicola and James had also made the last minute decision to grab some photos with one of the dogs in the field down the road. I was so glad that I was able to join them for this additional coverage before leaving them to enjoy their BBQ and gin!

Below you will find a small selection of my favourite images from the day. To view the full gallery, please contact Nicola or James for the access details.
