Grittleton House - Grace and Brad

After meeting Grace and Brad at Grittleton House earlier in the year for their pre-wedding photoshoot, I was amazed how quickly their wedding day had come around. I arrived, having checked the weather forecast, prepared for a bit of a rainy day. Did it rain? Of course it did! But thankfully we just about got away with it, managing to squeeze the group photos in at just the right time! That being said, I really have to thank Grace and Brad for persevering even though we did end up taking some shots as it started to drizzle!

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves - my first task of the day was to photograph the bridal prep which actually ended up being quite emotional. With personal trinkets included on the bridal bouquet, when the flowers arrived there wasn’t a dry eye in the room! Thankfully I was able to spend most of my time with Grace while she got ready alongside her bridesmaids and family because I had been joined by Matt Fox as my second photographer who I knew would be busy gathering detail photos of the venue as well as capturing lots of photos of the guests arriving.

The ceremony itself took place in the Orangery - always a beautiful setting which overlooks the Italian Gardens at the back of the house. It was then time for drinks, canapés and the aforementioned group photos which did indeed involve a little bit of rain shower dodging!

Whilst I whisked Grace and Brad away for some photos around the house, their guests were asked to take their seats in the Yellow Gallery ready for the wedding breakfast. It was then a case of speeches, a few more couples portraits (I couldn’t resist - the sun had FINALLY made an appearance after all!) cutting of the cake and finally, the first dance before the party properly got started!

Below you will find a very small selection of my favourite images from the day. To view the full gallery, please contact Grace or Brad.
