Kim and James Wedding in Trowbridge

I have always offered bespoke wedding packages and have been happy to quote for smaller celebrations, even before Covid hit. During the last 14 months there has, understandably, been an increase in the number of couples looking for a smaller amount of coverage. Not just because the restrictions have meant that wedding celebrations have needed to be on a much smaller scale, but I think a lot of couples have realised that they don’t necessarily need a huge celebration and have embraced the micro-wedding to have the wedding that they truly want.

Consequently, last year I added a “Micro-Celebration” package to my wedding photography offerings and it has actually proved to be quite popular. It has been especially popular with couples who are planning their weddings in a short space of time, keeping things intimate and simply want a photographer there to capture the ceremony and candid photos of their guests.

Such was the case with Kim and James who contacted me a few weeks before their wedding to see if I was available. Thankfully, I was and we were able to discuss their plans and arrange for photos to cover their ceremony and also some formal photos en-route to their reception venue.

The weather, despite threatening to rain later in the day, thankfully stayed dry which meant we were able to remain outdoors for their formal photographs. I then took them off for a brief walk to capture some portraits during their couples shoot before waving them on their way to their reception.
