Bowden Hall Wedding Photography - Natalie and Anthony

Natalie and Anthony’s wedding was a day that I was very much looking forward to.

After meeting up with them just a few weeks previously for their pre-wedding photoshoot, their excitement had been so infectious that I found myself eagerly anticipating their big day.

Bowden Hall Hotel near Cheltenham was the venue - a new venue for me (although not completely unknown as this is where we did their pre-wed shoot).

I arrived nice and early so that I could scope out where everything was happening and also grab some detail photos of the ceremony and reception rooms. I then made my way over to where Natalie was getting ready to capture photos of her preparations.

Just before the ceremony I was able to catch up with Anthony and grab some photos of him and his side of the wedding party. This included his groomsmen and also his sister who was acting as his “Best Person” (who says you have to have a Best Man?).

It was then time for the ceremony which commenced with Anthony and his wedding party making their own entrance into the ceremony room ahead of the flower girl, the Bridesmaids and then, finally, the Bride herself.

It was a very emotional moment with Anthony certainly struggling to hold back a few tears (and he wasn’t the only one!). There followed a short but poignant ceremony and, before too long, Natalie and Anthony were making their exit to lots of cheers of celebration.

From there we all headed outside for the confetti which was then immediately followed by drinks and canapés.

With the sun shining many of their guests made full use of the terrace enjoying their drinks in the open air. This meant that it was pretty simple for us to gather the guests required for the formal photos - and I have to say, the Bridesmaids made it all super easy by gathering the people required and then acting as cheerleaders to ensure all of the guests were kept entertained whilst I organised them in the correct place!

With the formal photos complete I soon whisked Natalie and Anthony away for their couples shoot which, following on from their pre-wed shoot, went amazingly smoothly (although I did have to laugh when I looked back at my behind-the-scenes footage and saw how much time I spent fiddling with Natalies dress and veil to get them sitting just right!)

After the couples photos it was time for the wedding breakfast which led straight into the speeches (and I was excited to see that Natalie chose to deliver her own speech) which were emotional to the extent that I found myself welling up behind the camera!

This was then followed by a number of humorous games organised by the wedding party - the Mr & Mrs Game I was familiar with but the balloon game and an amusing treasure hunt certainly kept the guests entertained!

The evening (for me at least) was rounded off by the cutting of the cake and the first dance which featured some rather spectacular confetti canons!

All in all, a beautiful day spent with beautiful people!

Hopefully the photos that I have included in this blog post give you a small flavour of the day. The full gallery can be viewed by contacting Natalie and Anthony.
