Bethanie and Michael - The Great Tythe Barn

I used to work with Beth many years ago (probably too many years than we care to remember!) so when she got in touch to ask whether I would be able to photograph her wedding, I jumped at the chance!

Covid unfortunately forced them to postpone their original plans and, in the meantime, they also welcomed a new arrival to their family! It was so lovely to be able to document their day but also capture lots of beautiful memories for them to look back on with their new baby daughter - an aspect that we didn’t anticipate when I first met them to discuss their plans many moons ago!

I arrived at The Great Tythe Barn in Tetbury to find both Beth and Michael getting ready in the main house. What followed was lots of double-checking between them to ensure that they didn’t cross paths at any point! Michael soon set off to greet their guests and Beth followed on a short while later - it was just a short walk along the gravel path to the barn for their ceremony which was really rather emotional.

Taking place at the end of September, a chill was starting to creep into the air but we were really lucky with the weather. We managed to get outside for a (slightly blustery) confetti throw and even managed to fit in all of the formal photos before the guests retreated indoors. It remained dry for the entire day… almost! Thankfully, the rain didn’t start until well into the wedding breakfast and of course, I couldn’t resist venturing out to see if there was a rainbow which, excitingly, there was!

Beth and Michael kicked off the evening reception with the cutting of their cake which was immediately followed by the first dance. Soon afterwards, I took my leave and left them to dance the night away with all of the their guests.

Below you will find a small selection of images from the day. To view the full gallery, please head here (the password can be obtained from Beth or Michael).
