Pauntley Court - Lucy and Theo

Pauntley Court is one of those venues that has been on my radar for a long time. It wasn’t until Lucy and Theo booked me, however, that I had the chance to actually photograph a wedding there.

And, oh my goodness, it didn’t disappoint!

I arrived early (after deciding to stay overnight at a B&B just 10 minutes down the road) and was immediately met by Beth from Daughter Bloom Weddings and Melissa the owner of Pauntley Court. Between them, they kindly showed me around the venue and told me everything would be happening during the rest of the day. After getting my bearings, I made my way over to find Lucy who was mid-way through her preparations alongside her bridesmaids. With Lucy and Theo having booked the house for the entire weekend, it meant that Theo was also on-site so I could easily pop in to grab some photos of him and his groomsmen. I also took the opportunity whilst dashing between the two rooms to also take a look at the ceremony room and grab some detail photos of the beautiful set-up. I was really pleased to find that Alexandra Sylvester Flowers and Wedding Creations had been commissioned to style the wedding and, between them, the venue looked AMAZING!

Thankfully, the weather was really kind which meant that the guests got to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. There really is so much to take in at Pauntley Court, I was spoilt for choice for backdrops! After confetti in the courtyard, the guests made their way out on to the terrace overlooking the sunken garden for drinks and canapés. It is during this part of the day that I always like to sneak the happy couple off for a few portraits - Lucy and Theo were just so happy that it was easy to capture some natural, romantic photos of the pair of them!

After the formal photos, the guests returned inside for the meal and the speeches (of which there were quite a few) which was interspersed with dancing, fun and frolics! As the evening began, there was just enough time for me to capture the bouquet toss (always a good source of fun!), the cutting of the cake and the first dance before the party properly got started!

Below you will find a very small selection of images from the day. To view the full gallery, please contact Lucy or Theo.
