Owl Lodge Wedding Photography - Sarah and Ben
Sarah and Ben got married at Owl Lodge in September this year and had travelled to Wiltshire specially for their celebration! That meant that the first time I actually met Sarah and Ben was on the day of the wedding! Not that I had any reason to be nervous - they were both lovely and welcoming and made my job easy!
On the day, I arrived in time to capture photos of their guests arriving. I also arrived to find lots of other lovely details to photograph - from the flowers lining the aisle to the arch in front of which Sarah and Ben would say their vows and also to the cones of confetti that Sarah had created using pages from a magazine (I forget which one - Farmers Weekly perhaps?!).
The ceremony was due to take place outside so I was really happy that the weather co-operated! We were to be treated to vivid blue skies and a rather wonderful sunset! And being that it was led by a celebrant, it meant that the entire ceremony was relaxed. It included readings from Sarah’s brother and Ben’s Dad and their nephew (also their ring-bearer) kept everyone amused by crawling back and forth over Sarah’s train!
Following the ceremony, their guests helped themselves to tea and cake whilst I whisked Sarah and Ben away for some couples portraits. The rest of the day then whizzed by in a whirl of formal photos, welly-wanging, giant jenga, delicious food and even some pretty epic sunset shots before Sarah and Ben cut the cake and took to the floor for their first dance.
It was such a beautiful and relaxed day and Sarah and Ben really made me feel very welcome - when the time came to say my goodbyes I couldn’t help but feel a little sad that the day was over!
Below you will find a small selection of my favourite images from their celebration. To view the full gallery, please contact Sarah or Ben.
