Corsham Wedding Photography - Marina and Angus

I had been recommended to Marina and Angus by a previous Groom of mine and, wow, am I glad for the recommendation!

When Marina and Angus came in to see me to discuss their wedding plans they told me that they were planning an intimate ceremony with just their closest friends and family at the Chippenham Registry Office.

This was to be followed by drinks with some additional guests on the lawn at home which just so happened to be Corsham Court! Yes, Corsham Court!

Those local to Corsham will know that the Court is a private residence although it is open for the public to view the art collection and the gardens. I knew, therefore, that this would be a private, one-off event which made it all the more special.

When the day of the wedding arrived, I greeted Angus at the Registry Office where he was welcoming their small party of guests. Marina arrived soon after (once Angus had been whisked off to the ceremony room) looking amazing in her bridal gown and carrying a bouquet of flowers hand-picked from the Corsham Court gardens.

Following the intimate ceremony we all headed back to Corsham Court for drinks and formal photos in the beautiful gardens catching just a glimpse of one of the famous peacocks strolling past the main entrance to the house as we arrived (unfortunately they didn’t oblige us with their company throughout the rest of the day!).

It was then time for Marina and Angus to greet the rest of their guests who had begun to congregate in the shadow of the house alongside the vintage marquee where their wedding breakfast was to take place.

The entire day was a very relaxed, informal affair. Marina had created the cake herself and more flowers from the impressive gardens made up the table centrepieces. There was no official seating plan allowing guests to sit wherever they wanted and the traditional speeches were also passed over in favour of a heartfelt “thank you” from Angus and Marina after they had cut the cake. Guests were kept entertained with garden games on the lawn and were of course given the opportunity to wander the grounds.

Before long, the sun had started to set and I said my goodbyes all the while thinking about what an amazing day it had been.
