I am so happy that Harriet and Shane finally got married earlier this year! It was third time lucky for this pair who had postponed twice over the last couple of years!

And I have to admit that I was really intrigued to see what their day would bring! Harriet had taken it upon herself to make a lot of the decorations (she’s such a creative person!) but the first surprise came when I saw her tying the wedding rings to a Dinosaur! AMAZING! Her creative eye continued through to the reception decor where I found miniature Disney figures spray painted silver, Disney-themed centrepieces and I absolutely loved that everyone received a personalised dinosaur badge!

The weather brought a day of contrasts - bright sun interspersed with rain showers. Thankfully it decided to rain at just the right moments meaning that we only needed to dash undercover only once during the formal photos to ensure that everyone kept dry! Thankfully I had Kate Ventress second shooting for me which meant that I was able to concentrate on the formal portraits knowing that she was busy capturing candids of all of the guests as well as additional detail photos.

It was so lovely to see them finally say “I do” and I don’t think Harriet stopped smiling all day! The sun made a reappearance after the Wedding breakfast so I made sure to steal them away for 10 minutes to grab some additional couples portraits. It was then back indoors for the cutting of the cake, the first dance and then the evening party could properly begin!
