Cici and Pete’s celebration will no doubt end up being my largest event of the year.

I first met up with them at the end of December 2023 while they were in the UK visiting family (they’re ordinarily based in the United States). During that meeting I was excited to learn that they were planning a prolonged celebration for their wedding which included hen and stag do’s the day before the wedding as well as hosting a drinks reception in Bath that same evening. Not only did they ask me to join them to photograph the drinks reception at The Botanist the day before but, as the celebrations drew closer, they also asked if I would mind squeezing in a short couples/pre-wed session immediately beforehand. I was more than happy to oblige!

And so, 30 minutes before their drinks reception I met them on Milsom Street and promptly whisked them down to the Abbey for some couples photos. Amazingly, it wasn’t too busy (if you know Bath you’ll know what a miracle that was!) and so we were able to spend a few minutes grabbing some super-speedy portraits before heading back to The Botanist to greet their guests.

The next day I headed out to Grittleton House for their wedding celebration where I was joined by Nick Spratling who was second-shooting for me. I always love covering weddings at Grittleton and this was no exception. Many of their guests had traveled over from the US and, after their extended celebrations, everyone seemed to know each other pretty well already. This helped to add to the party atmosphere - and boy, did they party! I had been asked to stay through to the very end which meant I could properly get involved on the dance floor - always a fun experience - before Cici and Pete made their exit accompanied by their guests waving sparklers. Needless to say it was a rather EPIC day which was reflected in the huge number of images that I edited for their gallery!
